Violeta Bastardo is a Dominican television personality based in New York City. Currently working as a News
Reporter for Noticias Univisión 41.
Violeta started her Television career at the age of 18 years old in the Dom. Rep. In 2003 she was named the news anchor of Noticias Cibao Visión, one of the top newscasts in the City of Santiago de Los Caballeros.
She came to the United States in 2007, where she has worked for Univision, Telemundo, NTN24 and other
important Spanish speaking stations in the Country.
Her passion as a journalist has taken her to cover numerous important stories such as United Nations gatherings, a General Assembly held each year at the UN Headquarters in NYC. She has Interviewed presidents from different countries and many other influential leaders in the world of politics.
Violeta Bastardo has a Bachelor Degree in Communication and Journalism from UTESA, Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in the Dominican Republic. She is fluent in Spanish as a native and English as profesional.
